// BEHIND THE BEAT //

We see the polished, Instagrammable end result, but, as any photographer will contend, getting there can be a wild ride, what with an overwhelmed bride one weekend and busy kiddos the next. Lauren Jeziorski, the photographer behind Bright Beat Photography, says, “With photo shoots, it’s high energy everything – all the time!”

Lauren moves through those scenarios seamlessly, gathering the pieces and energy that will best illuminate your story. She earned her bachelor’s degree in studio art with a concentration in photography from Oakland University in 2007. And in 2012, she founded Bright Beat, specializing in portraits,and engagement and wedding photos.

You’ve got other photography options, no doubt. That phone in your back pocket seems to get the job done most days, and while we love a good Saturday morning selfie, it’s hard to beat a professional shot by an experienced artist.

As the staff photographer for Metro Parent and Chicago Parent magazines, Lauren has an editorial eye for storytelling, a respect for deadlines and details, and an understanding of where magic meets real life. And, a new wife and mom herself, she knows it’s the big moments – but the small ones too – that are just so delicious we wish we could savor them for always.

Let’s bottle some of that!
